Medical Nanotechnology.

At VITAE PHARMA we innovatively use nanotechnology applied to the field of medicine to improve people's quality of life through the effective treatment of their diseases.

We use nanoscopic materials such as silicon and graphene, in devices that interact with biological systems, in order to revolutionize the diagnosis, treatment and care of human health.

 

Our applications are varied and we use them mainly for:

  • Diagnosis,

  • Imaging,

  • Regeneration,

  • drug transportation, and

  • controlled release,

Regeneration. We use biomaterials with the aim of regenerating, replacing or repairing damaged tissues and which, due to their properties, help in the process, so as not to be rejected by the body.

 

Drug Transport. Through nanoparticles we introduce medicine, chemical, biological or genetic material into certain neurons or cells, with a minimum dose and mitigating side effects.

 

​Controlled release. It consists of using nanostructures that transport the drug to the damaged area and, only when they have recognized this area, they release it at an appropriate speed in response to a certain stimulus.

 

For the elaboration of these biomaterials in our Research Center, we have:

  • Class 1000-1 clean rooms,

  • Dry and wet etching processes.

  • Fabrication of photomasks and nanolithography, from microns to 8 nm.

  • Nanodevices doped with carbon nanotubes and SiO2 and ZnO nanowires.
